Det er kanskje stygt å si det, men blir så glad av hvert klipp vi får som ikke dreier seg om Isak og Even. Ble rett og slett drittlei de etter sesong 3, altfor mye om dem, og det ble i grunnen ganske kjedelig i lengden. Derfor blir så glad av å se blant annet dette klippet, digger Sana og Noora men vil ikke at Noora skal glemme William.
Skal man ha litt tro på kjærligheten må William komme tilbake, og bevise at han virkelig elsker Noora.

I think this reminds me of previous seasons. Someone (Sana/Sara) uses Noora’s email and wrong person gets the blame. I guess Sana is going to do something good (as Sara was already writing with her phone all the time) for Noora, and Noora gets mad and blames Sara. Just like the letters from «rad-girls» season1 and hijab-police season2, wrong persons got the blame!! And the song in the trailer «don’t let me be misunderstood». I think it’s of Sana, something se does.

in the first clip of s4, vilde is being super over-the-top and waaaay oversharing about her and magnus’s “sex life,” but at certain points she seems like she’s sort of fumbling for something to say, like when chris is like “…i don’t think that’s where the g-spot is?” and she looks really flustered in response and she i’s like “uh…well…it’s totally normal to have more than one!!” and her voice is shaky and she totally doesn’t sound like she knows what she’s talking about at all; honestly the whole convo sounds like she googled different sex positions or w/e to have something to talk about
when chris is like “let’s all go out” in the group chat and she responds “gonna fuck” just… the way she’s constantly bringing it up and shoving it in the girls faces really seems like she’s overperforming heteronormativity to me bc she doesn’t want anyone to suspect anything else is up (at this point i don’t even think she wants to acknowledge it herself)
this is probably reaching but last season we saw in the background 1) her looking for eva at a party and looking lowkey crushed/upset to find her making out with p chris (i mean what do we know they usually do at parties you know?) in the very first ep and 2) her jumping into a relationship with magnus and letting him kiss her after he’s like “i wanna fuck you” directly after chris mentions her not getting any dick and then in the beggining of s4 we see her constantly shoving magnus in their faces to be like “see!! i get plenty of dick!! why would you think otherwise!!!” and it just seems super defensive to me
this season she’s been highkey obnoxious with doing things like adding magnus to the group chat and constantly talking about sex with him and yet… in one clip we literally had her talking about how having a boyfriend is boring and it takes away from her spending time with the girls because she feels obligated to spend time with magnus (she says something like “i have to be with him while you’re doing other things”) and she talks about wanting to go away on vacation with just the girls
she posted that instagram pic of the beach with “wish i was here” and then magnus posts that cringe-worthy pic with “wish i was there with u” in response and she JUST starts to follow him back after months of being together (yikes) and it just seems like she wants to get away, maybe from being with him bc she’s not invested in their relationship like he is and she feels like she should be or she’s tired of putting up a front and being someone she’s not/trying to meet certain (hetero) expectations
i know some people got mad about people interpreting it this way but that instagram post with the quote “there is a truth deep down inside of you” just really hit me bc like…as a lesbian myself, it just sounds like something i would post while i was still deep in the closet, like an acknowledgement that you know there’s this big thing about you but you’re not ready to acknowledge or tell people yet, but you post something that can be passed off as something else and that if you don’t know the intention behind it you wouldn’t know, but it’s like…baby steps (like sometimes when you’re that deep in the closet you’re always dropping these miniscule hints bc you lowkey are just tired and want someone to notice bc you’re still terrified of saying it/acknowledging it yourself but maybe if someone else does first it’d be easier, even though your hints are so vague no one would notice if they didn’t really know why you were doing it) (and yes i absolutely believe that quote is also genuinely about her learning self-love and realizing that she deserves to be happy too but that and her being gay aren’t mutually exclusive she can still be a lesbian and love herself but like…whatever i guess)

i think we’re totally being led to believe at this point that magnus is more into her than she is into him (it just feels so…forced and over the top and i think that’s deliberate) and there’s a lot of foreshadowing that something’s going to happen there, because they wouldn’t keep bringing it up as a background plotline if it wasn’t relevant, and it could just be that she feels like she needs to have a boyfriend to feel validated or meet certain expectations and she likes that someone is interested in her but she’s still straight like that makes sense too but…it could also mean that maybe it’s because she’s a lesbian and it’s totally ok to want that to happen 🙂

When the clips are assembled into an episode this Friday, where it would cut from Vilde/Magnus being like “you are my star, you are my sun” to Evaks “I can’t focus when you look at me, what’s the point in being home if you’re not looking at me?” it would perhaps convey a new meaning. This far we have pretty much only gotten scenes of Evak making out excessively, equivalent to Vilde talking excessevily about her sex life. I believe BOTH couples are supposed to portray Sana’s feeling of being left out this whole teen-romance thing, where she is surrounded by couples all day long.
The girl squad has been kind of distancing from each other but I would love to see a scene where they all notice how their badass Muslim beautiful friend who keeps it cool at all times, who gets shit done 100% finally breaks down and shows how vulnerable she has been and how much she needs them to lift her up.
Sana was Noora’s rock when it came to Dickhelm, she literally was Vilde’s knight in shining armor several times (that scene where she takes her bridal style kills me everytime), remained Isak’s support and Even’s cheer squad and defended Eva from Iben’s physical agression.
This girl needs a big hug right now. She has been keeping a turmoil inside her and it’s gonna blow up when no one else expects it.
again we are purposely suppose to compare isak and even with magnus and vilde with the line “aren’t couples in love so gross?” because we’ve seen them both being wrapped up in each other and saying stupid coupley things but it’s shown in vastly different ways

the parallels were there to set us up for something and eventually surprise us by twisting the ending
so i think julie is setting us up here for an evak-style yousana
girl likes boy, girl looks at him from afar, boy seems flirty, theyll end up together and happy and the boy will be all doe-eyed and “i noticed you immediately”
but that’s not what we will get
i’m not sure WHAT we’ll get eventually but i really think julie is setting us up here so she can surprise us, pull the rug
and the mikael thing is partly a distraction, partly a blatant plot point: but not the one we’re expecting

i think it is a subplot with even but i also think mikael will become very important in sana’s primary plot
mikael is taking more and more space in sana’s environment
just in that “yousef” clip, it was more actually about mikael
and when sana was staring at his pictures, we got the camera move up to mikael
sana is not looking directly at him but he is there, and he is taking more and more space in her literal and metaphorical visual field
and that julie is distracting us because she knew we would recognise mikael, mari “accidentally” made yousef’s fb public before the trailer so we “accidentally” saw the pictures of the balloon squad with mikael
this fandom is an internet one, they know this
this is not a TV show where active fandom online is not addressed or only in jokes, SKAM built its entire marketing on the internet
julie herself said “if you knew how hard it’s been to keep you on your toes”
julie is distracting us by waving mikael as an evak subplot right at us
while in the background, she’s setting him up to be a big part of the main sana plot
she’s showing us all these parallels between evak and yousana

i do believe in a happy ending with a happy sana

OK so, after my post remarking how prominent Mikael was in “FY FAEN”, I started to wonder “why?”.
“Why would Mikael go from being barely visible, teasingly so almost, to so ‘in your face’ in the space of one episode?”
It’s not just because Julie is trying to remind us we’ve seen him before: she knows we spend our time on the internet analysing every frame of her show, she’s knows we’re tech-savvy, she knew the minute NRK would update their profiler page we would start looking up the characters and making the connection with Mikael (if we hadn’t already, I’m guessing she knew most of the core fandom would know about Mikael coming back already, the sudden influx of followers on Yousef Hjelde El Mofty’s instagram was indication enough, we also know Mari and Julie regularly look up the SKAM tags to take the pulse of the skamily).
But even if for the non-internet fans, the casual viewers, keeping Mikael gently in the background would have been more than enough to later pull the rug and go
“Tadaaaa! Even’s best buddy, Mikael! You should have known! He was there all along but you didn’t notice!”
So, to me, it’s not just Julie teasing us about Mikael and his connection to Even.
And that’s when I realised that every season is from the main’s POV, this season is no exception.
And who is becoming more and more prominent in Sana’s POV, while Yousef is progressively seemingly falling from grace? Mikael.
@darker-sooner pointed out the frame above to me and how there are two main characters in it: Sana and Mikael (also, in terms of the position of the characters, Sana and Mikael are turned towards each other in this picture…they’re still not really looking at each other though, that will come later)
My reasoning is that, from a directing standpoint, having Mikael progressively take more and more space in the frame equates having him take more and more space in Sana’s life.
For now, she’s not really looking at him. She’s interested in Yousef. Mikael is still background. But even in the background, she’s starting to notice him more.
My theory is that we will start seeing them interact and be in each other’s “backgrounds” more and more.
Maybe next time it will be a “hi” exchanged on camera.
Maybe after that a sentence or two.
I’m not yet certain Mikael will definitely be a love interest for her. But I really feel like he’s going to be an important person in her life in this season.

This is what it shows if you do not have a guy that’s bad. I do not know how you were, but I did not have a boyfriend at school. I went to college at the age of 15. And I’m sorry that Vilde was tied to Magnus (there’s no boyfriend you’re an outcast), although she clearly loves both sexes. And Sana, who is drawn into this almost love triangle, I hope she will if she wants to meet someone

Jag tror att Noora kommer att gå mot Yousef, och när hon gör det kommer Sana panika, och agera genom att skicka ett mail till William via Nooras konto. Detta mail kommer att få William att kontakta henne eller eventuellt (!) komma till Oslo. Problem solved, Sana får Yousef för sig själv och Noora glömmer Yousef (i alla fall för stunden)

i’m not sure WHAT we’ll get eventually but i really think julie is setting us up here so she can surprise us, pull the rug

i think it is a subplot with even but i also think mikael will become very important in sana’s primary plot
mikael is taking more and more space in sana’s environment
just in that “yousef” clip, it was more actually about mikael
and when sana was staring at his pictures, we got the camera move up to mikael
sana is not looking directly at him but he is there, and he is taking more and more space in her literal and metaphorical visual field
and that julie is distracting us because she knew we would recognise mikael, mari “accidentally” made yousef’s fb public before the trailer so we “accidentally” saw the pictures of the balloon squad with mikael
this fandom is an internet one, they know this
this is not a TV show where active fandom online is not addressed or only in jokes, SKAM built its entire marketing on the internet
julie herself said “if you knew how hard it’s been to keep you on your toes”
julie is distracting us by waving mikael as an evak subplot right at us
while in the background, she’s setting him up to be a big part of the main sana plot
she’s showing us all these parallels between evak and yousana
but there is parallel and there is copy
and so far it’s bordering on a copy of the evak plot and that’s suspicious
i do believe in a happy ending with a happy sana
but i don’t believe it’ll be a yousana one

OK so, after my post remarking how prominent Mikael was in “FY FAEN”, I started to wonder “why?”.
“Why would Mikael go from being barely visible, teasingly so almost, to so ‘in your face’ in the space of one episode?”
It’s not just because Julie is trying to remind us we’ve seen him before: she knows we spend our time on the internet analysing every frame of her show, she’s knows we’re tech-savvy, she knew the minute NRK would update their profiler page we would start looking up the characters and making the connection with Mikael (if we hadn’t already, I’m guessing she knew most of the core fandom would know about Mikael coming back already, the sudden influx of followers on Yousef Hjelde El Mofty’s instagram was indication enough, we also know Mari and Julie regularly look up the SKAM tags to take the pulse of the skamily).
But even if for the non-internet fans, the casual viewers, keeping Mikael gently in the background would have been more than enough to later pull the rug and go
“Tadaaaa! Even’s best buddy, Mikael! You should have known! He was there all along but you didn’t notice!”
So, to me, it’s not just Julie teasing us about Mikael and his connection to Even.
And that’s when I realised that every season is from the main’s POV, this season is no exception.
And who is becoming more and more prominent in Sana’s POV, while Yousef is progressively seemingly falling from grace? Mikael.
@darker-sooner pointed out the frame above to me and how there are two main characters in it: Sana and Mikael (also, in terms of the position of the characters, Sana and Mikael are turned towards each other in this picture…they’re still not really looking at each other though, that will come later)
My reasoning is that, from a directing standpoint, having Mikael progressively take more and more space in the frame equates having him take more and more space in Sana’s life.
For now, she’s not really looking at him. She’s interested in Yousef. Mikael is still background. But even in the background, she’s starting to notice him more.
My theory is that we will start seeing them interact and be in each other’s “backgrounds” more and more.
Maybe next time it will be a “hi” exchanged on camera.
Maybe after that a sentence or two.
I’m not yet certain Mikael will definitely be a love interest for her. But I really feel like he’s going to be an important person in her life in this season.

This is what it shows if you do not have a guy that’s bad. I do not know how you were, but I did not have a boyfriend at school. I went to college at the age of 15. And I’m sorry that Vilde was tied to Magnus (there’s no boyfriend you’re an outcast), although she clearly loves both sexes. And Sana, who is drawn into this almost love triangle, I hope she will if she wants to meet someone

Jag tror att Noora kommer att gå mot Yousef, och när hon gör det kommer Sana panika, och agera genom att skicka ett mail till William via Nooras konto. Detta mail kommer att få William att kontakta henne eller eventuellt (!) komma till Oslo. Problem solved, Sana får Yousef för sig själv och Noora glömmer Yousef (i alla fall för stunden)
