Sana’s happy colour is black. Her season’s colour palette is black&white with, obviously, blacks and whites but also colours “in between” like greys and browns.
The clothes she (and people around her) wears are casual and sporty. She wears lighter/warmer colours and makeup the more comfortable she is. And her makeup gets darker and heavier, as her clothes get darker too and less personable, when she is uncomfortable and closed-off. This goes with Sana’s badass and active personality (as well as her love for basketball and hip hop music).
The filter used is warm earthy yellow.
So yeah: to me, not everything has to be just symbolic for the sake of.
TV shows and movies are visual arts and colours are, as a result, very important. You don’t need to dig deep into symbolic to get a feel about a character based solely on the colours used. A character dressed in white doesn’t automatically mean goodness and purity.
Sometimes, when a character is in white and all the others around them are in black, it’s just that the director wants us to focus even more on that character in white.
I think that the difference is that in the other seasons, the characters had made more progress by this point. Not all of their problems were fixed, but some of them had been resolved. At this point in season 3, Isak was out to all of his friends. Most of the people in his life except for his parents knew that he was gay. I believe that Noora also came clean to Vilde about her whole thing with William. And with Eva, well, her stories weren’t resolved but at least things blew up in a way that provided us with answers on what had happened between her and Ingrid.
With Sana’s story, there have been twenty conflicts and not one of them have worked out yet. I don’t see how they are all going to be resolved well in the short amount of time that we have.
to me it seems so obvious that Noora and Yousef aren’t dating, but that makes me nervous. what if there is a little twist and it turns out that they are dating and they go to eva’s party as a couple?

Det må nesten komme et klipp i dag? For bursdagen til Eva er ikke kommunisert til TV-seerne, er den vel? Eller velger Sana bort bursdagsfesten, og drar til moskeen i stedet?
Det er jo Ramadhan og hun kjenner kanskje behovet for et religiøst fellesskap ekstra sterkt disse dagene. Ikke minst på grunn av den vanskelige situasjonen hun nå står i?
Interessant også hvordan bussen blir framstilt som et hvitt mikrosamfunn, som er under angrep. Og hvordan en følelse av utenforskap og rasisme i mikro-/makroform kan gjøre at man griper til midler man ikke trodde var mulig. Hvilke mekanismer – ofte ganske subtile – som ligger bak.
Sana ser ut til å ha mistet seg selv og sin egen i integritet. Fra å være den sterke, selvrettferdig, pliktoppfyllende jenta som sjonglerte x antall baller i lufta, har hun mistet ballen av syne og blitt alt det hun misliker: En fake, feig jente som føkker over vennene sine. Samtidig tror jeg det er nødvendig, at hun må igjennom denne mildt sagt trøblete tiden, for å bli en klokere utgave av seg selv som evner å leve livet mer ekte og på egne premisser. Som den jenta hun er, ikke den alle andre forventer at hun skal være.

Ok but Yousef and p.Chris are like exact opposites .. but we all know how close they are irl .. so could you imagine them hanging out with Sana and Eva and every time Chris does or says anything Yousef just rolls his eyes in annoyance at him .. and whenever yousef does something cute (like he always do ?) Chris is like DRAMA ..
Many condemn San’s act, but Sarah clouded everyone’s eyes. All the girls adored her. They would not believe her. She told them personally. I perfectly understand why she said no to Noora. Yousef did not express his feelings in any way and their romance is doomed because of religion and family Sana. They can not be together
