– En form for samtale med jentegjengen, fordi jeg syns ikke at sist klipp gjorde opp for at de har vært veldig ignorante mot Sana hele sesongen (ja, jeg vet at Sana selv har vært vrang – men nå snakker jeg også om tiden før hun begynte å skyve alle unna seg!)
– Konflikten mellom guttegjengene bare forsvant i løse luften?
– Det har vært veldig mye bakgrunnssnakk om Even gjennom hele sesongen, så jeg er litt overrasket over at det ikke skjedde noe på den fronten – det er ikke en stor klage, for det er jo ikke hans sesong, men som sagt så har de snakket mye rundt ham opp gjennom episodene.
Jeg er litt skuffet over at Noora/William tok over episoden, for det er tross alt ikke deres sesong lenger. Det er mange måter de kunne ha gjort dette på, så jeg føler at de tok hovedmomentet og overkjørte Sana/Yousef som vi allerede har ventet så lenge på! Noora/William-konflikten har vært en smule kjedelig helt siden sesong 2 endte, mest fordi den historien aldri så ut til å gå noen vei. Jeg skjønner at dette er siste sesong og at alle karakterene skal få sin avslutning, men jeg mener at dette kunne ha blitt gjort på en måte som ikke ville overskygget sesongens hovedkarakter.
I’m just left slightly confused by this clip, and this week in general. We’ve received a lot of solutions, but no answers. It feels like Julie either rewrote, or ran out of time, or both.
First–Sana and the girls. I am beyond thrilled that the girls did not abandon Sana at her worst moment and were there for her. I really am. That clip was wonderful and beautiful and amazing. BUT–how did we go from Chris’s comment on Tuesday to that clip on Wednesday. When will the girls talk about it? When does Sana get to express how she feels? I have my theories and guesses, but I’d like something a little more concrete
Second–Even and the boys. I was not looking for Even drama, and I’m happy that he’s happy with his boyfriend and friends, but Julie seemed to start it. Yes, we found out about Even’s SA in episode 4, but how do we go from him withdrawing from his friends to him partying with them ??? We can assume Elias talked it out with Even this week, but I’m tired of assumptions. Let us know what happened. You give us a mentally ill character, drop a bomb about his past, and then have him partying with the friend that drove him to his lowest point. I’d like to see some resolution
I never thought a happy clip could be this disappointing. To be honest, I was waiting for the clip to end with Sana waking up and realising she was just dreaming all along because things wrapped up way too neatly, without any important discussions. Like someone said in their comment, this was superficial. And that surprises me because Skam has been so real and raw before. What happened?
William is a toxic person and I never thought he’d be brought back for some more drama. A guy who refused to wear a condom on Vilde’s first time, treated her like garbage, manipulated Noora, didn’t listen to her when she said no… In the last clip of s2 he even said he doesn’t really care if Noora is ready for sex or not. Was that supposed to be a sexy thing to say? God, how can this show romanticise a guy who uses women like he does. I hope he gets what he deserves, which is nothing.

English is not my native language, I’m just not fluent enough in Norwegian to write thought-out pieces in it. I definately don`t want to condescend you, but the line that you are refering to does absolutely not show a negative side of William. He said that because Noora had already said that she WAS ready! It was her wish to have sex with him, and he said it as a «joke» because he knew that finally it was Ok for her!
I am not disappointed
Still.. We got to know some of hid backgroundstory and we had Clips like «Angst» and the one in the car. I disliked William for a long time, but then I realised that he had changed and I saw something good in him. Also, he really loved (loves??) Noora. It is very much the same with Isak, to me. I also totally disliked him, but in time I started to like him more. We don`t know yet how N&W`s story will end, but I think it is good that we get a good closure. Maybe they will come back to each other og maybe they both move on alone or with someone else

Er det virkelig så galt at noen sitter med en forventning om at SKAM skal reflektere virkeligheten deres, når det er tydelig at serieskaperne har hatt som mål fra første stund å manipulere seerne sine med, ved å simulere at handlingen foregår i realtid? Jeg synes ikke det er noe rart i det hele tatt. De får masse skryt for dette grepet, og det er klart: Det er et valg de har gjort, da har de også valgt bort noe. SKAM-skaperne må tåle den kritikken som kommer når seerne føler at handlingen ikke blir realistisk nok, eller de forventer noe annet. Watching SKAM has been one of the coolest experiences of my life which is why I’m disappointed I have to write this comment. But this makes no sense. Regardless of what your favourite characters are, there have been strong hints that Even would get some sort of story this season. He was first to appear in the trailer, he is a former friend of Sana’s brother and love interest, he had a solo clip with Sana that hinted that he is hiding his past, Sana spoke to Yousef and Elias about him, he’s been mentioned on the YouTube channel and in text, Isak and Sana talked about him recently and of course there was the fight at the karaoke club. Yet his grand total screen time so far has been a stunning 9 minutes, the majority of which sharing a scene with Isak. The last time we saw the balloon boys and Isak, Even, Jonas, Magnus and Mahdi together was at the fight where Isak was bleeding badly and everyone was very angry at each other. We got a shoddy explanation through text. And suddenly they’re friends, dancing and playing games together??? When did they make up, when did they become friends??? How is this even remotely believable??? I’m genuinely just baffled. I think a lot of people assumed we would get some background (preferably from Even himself) about his past and his suicide attempt this week or maybe in the upcoming two weeks but obviously that isn’t going to happen any time this season and we just have to accept it. It’s so unbelievably offensive to use suicide as a way to create drama and just not follow up on that at all. So many mentally ill people follow this show because Even was written amazingly last season and he was acted amazingly as well but this is just not happening now. If such sensitive topics were not going to be handled appropriately, they should not have been included at all. Good luck to everyone on the team with finishing up the show and I hope people that keep watching will enjoy. I’m just sad I won’t be among them.
Even is in a good place surrounded by people he loves and who loves him! I`m sad to see that people don`t appreciate that and keep bringing up a past which I`m pretty sure Even wants to move on from.
People would not be bringing up his past if the show had not brought up his past in many scenes, a lot of which I listed in my comment. If there was no intention to give viewers closure on Even’s past and story, it should not have been brought up so many times.
Something wrong
A few things were wierd about how Yosef told the Bakka story. It dosen’t really add up with Elias’telling it, and also Mikael does not seem very religious (he drinks wine). It looks like Yousef is hiding something about his own part in Even’s story, but we need to get to like him again in order to get disapointed when it comes out (and it will). My current hypothesis is that Even will warn Sana about Yousef in the upcoming week.

Please calm down about William coming back. As someone who is (a) an international fan and (b) not the biggest fan of William, and also started watching in s3, let Julie give this to her audience. She gave us Evak’s apartment, which was, quite honestly, unnecessary and extra, even if lovely. Let her give this to the Norwegian fans who have been here since day 1, who pay their tax money for this show. It’s the very end of the last season. It is a gift, just as she’s given us

I’m left with a slightly bitter taste that Julie used Even’s SA as a plot device, and he never got to discuss it on his own terms. A lot of people are upset about that, and it’s a valid criticism. I’m not upset that he’s happy, I’m not even mad it was worked out, but I would have liked the mentally ill character to have a voice on his own story.
I also feel slightly bitter that Noorhelm overshadowed Sana here, in what is supposed to be her season. This is HER moment, her moment with her friends and her brother around her. HER moment, finally finding out that Yousef is as into her as she is him. She should have shone, she should have had the last say, not Noora and William. I don’t mind that he’s back, I just wish we could have seen Sana shine more in her season. She is yet again overshadowed by Noora, and that leaves an ugly taste in my mouth.
I’m confused… Do mentally ill people owe everybody an explanation about the stuff they’ve been through? I think it’s realistic that Even isn’t opening up about all his past trauma right away. I think it’s also realistic that friends and acquaintances talk about this in the way Sana and Yousef did. They were worried and sad. If someone you know tries to commit suicide, I really hope you’d talk about it in å concerned way. And as for not giving Even a voice, well that might still happen. And Even doesn’t owe us (or Sana) shit.
Well said! As someone who’s been locked up (well, it’s got a fancy name, but that’s what I call it) because of suicidality, and who’s withdrawn from friends because of it, it honestly feels pretty realistic – and heartening.

I am one of those who has watched Skam from the start (although I am Swedish) and I have often felt that many Evak fans don’t seem to realize how strong a relationship many of us have with the other characters too. I loved season 3, but I also loved season 1, 2 and now 4, because they tell stories and discuss themes that I think everybody can relate to. Before Evak we went through heartbreak with Eva, Vilde and Noora, troubled friendships and feelings of loneliness, shame and anger. Singling out Evak to be the only thing that matters in the whole Skam universe is to reduce the whole series to something much less than it is.
Why do people act like people who like Evak only like them?
I love all the character, except William for obvious reasons, the are my children. I watch season 1 as much as I watch season 3. Season 1 is incredible in how it handles loneliness and friendships, it’ makes me so happy. Noora is not taking over Sanas season, Sana is very involved in Noora and William now, she SENT the email, it is her fault that he is back, she did this to get Yousef, this William/Noora thing affects her a lot! Stop complaining! We can see her feelings in her face in the last moment of this episode, like «oh, no, what have I done!» How can you say that this isn’t about her too??!

SKAM er over for alltid om to uker. Om Julie gir oss idyll og åpne slutter, kan de leve videre i vår fantasi etterpå. William ville aldri vært en drittsekk mot Noora, men manus måtte endres når Thomas ikke ville være med lengre. Noora og William fortjente en bedre slutt enn den som kom frem i høst og i begynnelsen av denne sesongen. De to gikk gjennom så mye og elsker hverandre – la dem finne tilbake til hverandre. Så kan vi følge Sana og Yousef de siste ukene mens de andre er harmoniske i bakgrunnen.

Still.. We got to know some of hid backgroundstory and we had Clips like «Angst» and the one in the car. I disliked William for a long time, but then I realised that he had changed and I saw something good in him. Also, he really loved (loves??) Noora. It is very much the same with Isak, to me. I also totally disliked him, but in time I started to like him more. We don`t know yet how N&W`s story will end, but I think it is good that we get a good closure. Maybe they will come back to each other og maybe they both move on alone or with someone else

Alt er ikke kjærlighet, dessverre består livet av andre ting også. Er det virkelig så galt at noen sitter med en forventning om at SKAM skal reflektere virkeligheten deres, når det er tydelig at serieskaperne har hatt som mål fra første stund å manipulere seerne sine med, ved å simulere at handlingen foregår i realtid? Jeg synes ikke det er noe rart i det hele tatt. De får masse skryt for dette grepet, og det er klart: Det er et valg de har gjort, da har de også valgt bort noe. SKAM-skaperne må tåle den kritikken som kommer når seerne føler at handlingen ikke blir realistisk nok, eller de forventer noe annet. Man kan ikke kreve at alle kun skal være fanboys & girls, og bare bejuble eller akseptere alle dramaturgiske grep.
Förväntningarna har dock gått överstyr. Allt är inte skit bara för att det inte blir exakt som man själv ville. När jag tittar så tar jag emot det berättaren vill förmedla. Jag kommer att gillar vissa saker och ogilla andra men har jag redan bestämt hur det ska vara i förväg kommer jag garanterat att bli besviken.

Watching SKAM has been one of the coolest experiences of my life which is why I’m disappointed I have to write this comment. But this makes no sense. Regardless of what your favourite characters are, there have been strong hints that Even would get some sort of story this season. He was first to appear in the trailer, he is a former friend of Sana’s brother and love interest, he had a solo clip with Sana that hinted that he is hiding his past, Sana spoke to Yousef and Elias about him, he’s been mentioned on the YouTube channel and in text, Isak and Sana talked about him recently and of course there was the fight at the karaoke club. Yet his grand total screen time so far has been a stunning 9 minutes, the majority of which sharing a scene with Isak. The last time we saw the balloon boys and Isak, Even, Jonas, Magnus and Mahdi together was at the fight where Isak was bleeding badly and everyone was very angry at each other. We got a shoddy explanation through text. And suddenly they’re friends, dancing and playing games together??? When did they make up, when did they become friends??? How is this even remotely believable??? I’m genuinely just baffled. I think a lot of people assumed we would get some background (preferably from Even himself) about his past and his suicide attempt this week or maybe in the upcoming two weeks but obviously that isn’t going to happen any time this season and we just have to accept it. It’s so unbelievably offensive to use suicide as a way to create drama and just not follow up on that at all. So many mentally ill people follow this show because Even was written amazingly last season and he was acted amazingly as well but this is just not happening now. If such sensitive topics were not going to be handled appropriately, they should not have been included at all. Good luck to everyone on the team with finishing up the show and I hope people that keep watching will enjoy. I’m just sad I won’t be among them.

Even is in a good place surrounded by people he loves and who loves him! I`m sad to see that people don`t appreciate that and keep bringing up a past which I`m pretty sure Even wants to move on from.
People would not be bringing up his past if the show had not brought up his past in many scenes, a lot of which I listed in my comment. If there was no intention to give viewers closure on Even’s past and story, it should not have been brought up so many times.
A few things were wierd about how Yosef told the Bakka story. It dosen’t really add up with Elias’telling it, and also Mikael does not seem very religious (he drinks wine). It looks like Yousef is hiding something about his own part in Even’s story, but we need to get to like him again in order to get disapointed when it comes out (and it will). My current hypothesis is that Even will warn Sana about Yousef in the upcoming week.

Please calm down about William coming back. As someone who is (a) an international fan and (b) not the biggest fan of William, and also started watching in s3, let Julie give this to her audience. She gave us Evak’s apartment, which was, quite honestly, unnecessary and extra, even if lovely. Let her give this to the Norwegian fans who have been here since day 1, who pay their tax money for this show. It’s the very end of the last season. It is a gift, just as she’s given us
I’m also not mad about Even and the boys hanging out as if nothing was wrong. Even made clear earlier that he misses them and has no hard feelings, and Sana told Elias this week what he said. Elias probably reached out to Even himself and they worked it out. This makes a lot of sense considering their plot honestly has little to do with Sana. I’m left with a slightly bitter taste that Julie used Even’s SA as a plot device, and he never got to discuss it on his own terms. A lot of people are upset about that, and it’s a valid criticism. I’m not upset that he’s happy, I’m not even mad it was worked out, but I would have liked the mentally ill character to have a voice on his own story.
I also feel slightly bitter that Noorhelm overshadowed Sana here, in what is supposed to be her season. This is HER moment, her moment with her friends and her brother around her. HER moment, finally finding out that Yousef is as into her as she is him. She should have shone, she should have had the last say, not Noora and William. I don’t mind that he’s back, I just wish we could have seen Sana shine more in her season. She is yet again overshadowed by Noora, and that leaves an ugly taste in my mouth.
I’m confused… Do mentally ill people owe everybody an explanation about the stuff they’ve been through? I think it’s realistic that Even isn’t opening up about all his past trauma right away. I think it’s also realistic that friends and acquaintances talk about this in the way Sana and Yousef did. They were worried and sad. If someone you know tries to commit suicide, I really hope you’d talk about it in å concerned way. And as for not giving Even a voice, well that might still happen. And Even doesn’t owe us (or Sana) shit.
Well said! As someone who’s been locked up (well, it’s got a fancy name, but that’s what I call it) because of suicidality, and who’s withdrawn from friends because of it, it honestly feels pretty realistic – and heartening.
I think you are forgetting that this is fiction. The tv series has a responsibility to handle sensitive issues with care. So yeah, Even might not technically owe us, but Julie sure does.

I am one of those who has watched Skam from the start (although I am Swedish) and I have often felt that many Evak fans don’t seem to realize how strong a relationship many of us have with the other characters too. I loved season 3, but I also loved season 1, 2 and now 4, because they tell stories and discuss themes that I think everybody can relate to. Before Evak we went through heartbreak with Eva, Vilde and Noora, troubled friendships and feelings of loneliness, shame and anger. Singling out Evak to be the only thing that matters in the whole Skam universe is to reduce the whole series to something much less than it is.

I love all the character, except William for obvious reasons, the are my children. I watch season 1 as much as I watch season 3. Season 1 is incredible in how it handles loneliness and friendships, it’ makes me so happy. Noora is not taking over Sanas season, Sana is very involved in Noora and William now, she SENT the email, it is her fault that he is back, she did this to get Yousef, this William/Noora thing affects her a lot! Stop complaining! We can see her feelings in her face in the last moment of this episode, like «oh, no, what have I done!» How can you say that this isn’t about her too??!

SKAM er over for alltid om to uker. Om Julie gir oss idyll og åpne slutter, kan de leve videre i vår fantasi etterpå. William ville aldri vært en drittsekk mot Noora, men manus måtte endres når Thomas ikke ville være med lengre. Noora og William fortjente en bedre slutt enn den som kom frem i høst og i begynnelsen av denne sesongen. De to gikk gjennom så mye og elsker hverandre – la dem finne tilbake til hverandre. Så kan vi følge Sana og Yousef de siste ukene mens de andre er harmoniske i bakgrunnen.
